Happy Saturday!
November 17th, 2007

Up early already - dropped off the 15 YO or the Christmas parade (marching band) and I’m off to bring the 11 YO to bowling and do some shopping. Typical busy Saturday.

I’m on vacation from my “real” job until the 26th (woot!) so I have lots of time for edits and my WIP. I’m excited to have so much time to catch my breath and get stuff done!

Thanks to everyone that popped in to the Samhain Cafe yesterday to hang out with my peeps Melissa Schroeder and Rebecca Goings to celebrate the release of our Leather & Lace stories.

My story, Branded, is at #6 at MBAM! Yahoo! Y’all are fantastic!

Have a wonderful, fabulous Saturday y’all!

Friday Fun and Fanastic Frivolity
November 16th, 2007

I guess I was in a mood for an alliteration.

Today is Friday, hooyah!! Fun stuff going on for y’all. Let’s see, first up the November issue of The Samhellion is now available! You can read it here or you can sign up to receive it in your inbox here.

It’s a really fun newsletter chocked full (and I mean FULL) of articles, stories and even recipes. Y’all should check it out.

Next up, me and my partners in crime, Melissa Schroeder and Rebecca Goings are doing a list mom day over at the Samhain Cafe. We’ll be strapping on our spurs and bringing out the cowboys for y’all. The three of us are promoting our anthology, Leather and Lace. It will be a fun day on and off with the three of us.

Hope you can stop by!

Thursday Thirteen
November 15th, 2007

Since I’m on a post-Vegas kick this week, I’ll go with a TT about the interesting things I saw.

Thirteen Things I Saw in Vegas

1. A Lambourghini and Ferrari for rent.

2. A plastic spoon floating in the toilet bowl in a public restroom (I don’t even want to think about why).

3. Speaking of restrooms, I saw cup holders in the bathroom stalls (don’t want to spill those rum and cokes while you pee, right?).

4. A store that sold used slot machines for personal use. Boy was I tempted.

5. A woman with a newborn baby in a casino.

6. Two female lions that lived at the MGM Grand Hotel.

7. A pair of alligator skin boots with eyes on either side.

8. Two men and two women roller-blading on the street with skimpy costumes sporting thongs and advertising an ICE show.

9. Two acrobats performing while I ate lunch in a mall.

10. Men and women handing out cards for prostitutes on the street (I had no idea what they were until DH explained it to me *blush*).

11. A Klingon at Harrah’s Casino.

12. The country’s first public monorail system - it was a cool ride.

13. Cirque de Soleil Ka show - astounding, amazing, astonishing.
