Favorite childhood book
March 31st, 2007

Lately I’ve been thinking about my favorite book as a child and why. My favorite book (no laughing) was The Poky Little Puppy.

It was a golden book for kids with little spotted puppies. I can still tell you the entire story - lol! - I read it like a million times. I think I identified with that poky little puppy - you see he was the one that was always the last coming home, the loner, the one that stayed behind to explore. Then when he got home he ate all the dessert his brothers and sisters didn’t get because they’d dug under the fence.

Of course in the end, the poky little puppy got caught. Then their mother put up a sign that said no desserts ever for puppies that dig holes under fences. (As if the puppies could read. *snort*)

Anyway, for some reason that book was my absolute favorite.

How about y’all?

F-f-f-f-fridaaaaaaay!
March 30th, 2007

Whew, made it. It’s finally Friday (no I won’t launch into Hank Williams Jr. song, promise). It seems that March has flown past in the blink of an eye.

Friday is a day I don’t feel like doing anything (translation: beer and pizza for dinner), soooo today is quiz day!

I like this one… What type of weather are you?

I’m rain… how interesting. Pretty damn accurate description though.

You Are Rain

You can be warm and sexy. Or cold and unwelcoming.
Either way, you slowly bring out the beauty around you.

You are best known for: your touch

Your dominant state: changing

It’s starry over here

Four and a half stars to be exact! (Warning, this is going to be a mushy, gushy horn tooting post. Leave now if you’re diabetic.)

I just got my hands on the Romantic Times review for The Gift (in the May issue) and wowza, it’s a good one!!!

“Williamson has done an excellent job of creating two very likable characters who have a chemistry that will singe the reader. Trevor and Adelaide share a wonderful romance with plenty of heat and steam.” - Kristi Ahlers

I’m very proud to see so many stars on the RT website for the books that I’ve written. It’s a fine line we writers walk between wanting the reviews and not wanting them. We’re all afraid when we put ourselves out there for all the world to see that someone is going to point the finger at us and say, “You suck.”

Part of any human being’s makeup, I think. The need for affirmation and confirmation - some more than others I’m sure. I admit it, these good reviews make me feel fabulous. Writing isn’t just what I am, it’s who I am.

So a big thank you to Kristi Ahlers, the reviewer from RT for the lovely review of The Gift. I’m glad you liked Trevor’s story. He definitely charmed me.
