Last week I noticed a sharp spot on a molar way in the back of my mouth. Hmmmm, it appeared that a filling fell out. Sigh… so I made an appointment at the dentist for Friday and I had to cancel it. The second appointment was Tuesday, which I had to cancel. No, I wasn’t avoiding it, I swear! Circumstances change, ya know?

Anyhoo, the third appointment was this morning at 8 am. Ugh. It turned out to be a chipped tooth, not a lost filling. He had to remove the small filling that was there and replace it to cover the new chipped spot. Wah!

Out comes the novacaine needle *whimper*… then 15 minutes later…. the drill. What is it about these dang dentist drills? Smoke and vibrations and scary shit.

I think I’m going to have that smell stuck in my nose for at least two days. Blech.

Just as a side note, I’m now writing book 7, The Legacy, Noah’s story. You remember him? Tyler and Nicky’s adopted son. He needs to find his way in the world… if you’ve read The Gift, you saw Noah as a young man, just dipping his toe into life. My sister keeps asking me if Penny (from The Gift) is going to be in Noah’s story… Mwahahaha! I never give away too much.
