Oh yeah, folks, it’s time for the game face.
I’ve got 19 days until my deadline for Devils on Horseback: Nate and I’m going to hit that date, come hell or high water.
Of course, both may hit before that date anyway. I’ve got to grab my fire extinguisher and my bathing suit and be ready for anything. I had eleven days off, of which I now have four left. Big plans to get it all finished by the time I went back to my real job on January 2.
For some reason, I had the hardest time focusing on the story, although I was so excited to start writing it. It’s flowing now but of course I’m behind on where I should be at this point.
So for all you writers out there, what do you do when you have a looming deadline and a shitload of work left to do? Any special tips or tricks? I’m in desperate need of any bones you can throw me.
A muse perhaps that I can ogle and be, ahem, inspired by?
