The Plan
October 18th, 2006

I had this in my inbox from my peep Janice (how are ya sweetie?). Being that I work in corporate America, I thought it was pretty damn funny.

In the beginning was the Plan.

And then came the Assumptions.

And the Assumptions were without form.

And the Plan was without substance.

And darkness was upon the face of the Workers.

And they spoke among themselves, saying, “It is a crock of sh*t, and it stinks.”

And the Workers went unto their Supervisors and said, “It is a pail of dung, and we can’t live with the smell.

And the Supervisors went unto their Managers, saying, “It is the container of the excrements, and it is very strong, such that none may abide by it.”

And the Mangers went unto their Directors, saying, “It is a vessel of fertilizer, and none may abide its strength.”

And the Directors spoke among themselves, saying to one another, “It promotes growth, and it is very powerful.”

And the Vice Presidents went to the President, saying unto him, “This new plan will actively promote the growth and vigor of the company with very powerful effects.”

And the President looked upon the Plan and saw that it was good.

And the Plan became Policy.

And that is how sh*t happens.

Find some treasure in print!
October 17th, 2006

Yep, it’s finally here! Yay! The Treasure is released in paperback today, October 17! You can get your copy at bookstores online like Amazon, Barnes and Noble, and MBAM, or it will be in Borders and Waldenbooks stores soon.

*steps up to the microphone and taps it*

Ahem, I’d like to thank everyone that helped me get here with my fourth single title in print. That list includes my husband, my kids, my parents, my sister, the rest of my family, my amazing editor Sasha, my publisher Crissy at Samhain, my friends (Donnie, Christy, Net, Nancy), my best pal and CP Sasha White, and most especially you readers.

This is the fourth book in the Malloy family series and very special to me (yes, they’re all special). Lily is a great deal like me, particularly in her clumsiness. This book is a salute to all the clumsy women in the world and to the men who love them. Cheer!

To celebrate, let me first throw some confetti around and belt out a rebel yell - YEEEEEHAAAAAAAW!

Now that I’ve gotten that out of the way, let’s get to the second part of my celebration. I want to give the readers back something for all the joy they’ve brought me by reading my books. One lucky reader is going to win a prize pack from me - or you could call it a treasure chest.

How do you play? Send me an e-mail to cowgirlbethATgmail.com (replace AT with @) and tell me what your greatest treasure is in your life - person, place, thing, whatever. Somebody is getting a prize pack loaded with goodies from my prize vault, including a paperback copy of Vixen Virgins!

So come on y’all, find some treasure and help me celebrate!

All American Hunks for 2007
October 16th, 2006

Did y’all see this? Particularly Stephanie.

Apparently a group of United States Marines has gotten together for a 2007 calendar to raise money for wounded veterans and their families. Isn’t that cool? Besides that, it’s some marvelous eye candy for us who appreciate a good bohunk calendar. Check it out!

Since I have ex-Marines in my family, I can say Semper Fi! Hooyah!

American Heroes

The signing went great!
October 15th, 2006

It was a little nerve-wracking to be out in the mall in front of Waldenbooks, but it turned out great! I chatted with lots of people and gave out candy (always a good ploy to get people to come by ).

My first book sale was to a man! Can you believe it? I was so proud of him for trying something new. So thank you Kenny and I really hope you like the book!

Then I had a reader named Crystal come up to me and introduce herself. Turns out she’d read Sasha’s book BOUND (which I can’t recommend more), and found me on her website (since she’s my peep and CP). When Crystal found out I lived in Raleigh, she made a special trip to the mall to see me during my signing! Thank you Crystal!!!

Anyhoo, sold about 10 books, which is awesome. Thank you to Liz and the Waldenbooks team at Chapel Hill and to everyone that stopped by to say hello.

I am off to the State Fair today. Y’all have a marvelous Sunday!!

Solo Book Signing Today!!

Color me excited, nervous, and jazzed! Today is my second solo book signing at Waldenbooks in Chapel Hill. I’ll be signing copies of The Bounty and The Prize. And trying to bribe people with free chocolate and bookmarks.

If you’re in the area, please come by University Mall and say hey!
