October already?
October 2nd, 2006

Does anyone else feel like the year is just flying by? I can’t believe it’s October already. It feels like I was just getting ready to go to RT in May. Now suddenly it’s fall and for sure, I saw CHRISTMAS decorations in the store this weekend. Holy crap! Why the hell are the stores putting holiday decorations out in September??? i mean, three months ahead of time is a little extreme, don’t you think? Those of us that are Christian get tensed up just thinking about affording Christmas and those of us that aren’t Christian have to endure all the Santa/Snowman/jingle bell junk for three solid months.

Not that I am anti-Christmas. I loooove Christmas time and all the fun things we do. I just don’t like having it shoved down my throat, ya know?

Okay, back to my original post… it’s October. I’m late with my newsletter - stay tuned I should have it out in a couple of days. I’ll pick a winner from the September contest today, too. It just doesn’t feel like October since it’s going to be in the 80s this week. By Wednesday, it will be 88! Geez louise, that’s not fall weather - that’s August for pity’s sake. Not sure why it’s going to be so dang hot, but I just put away my shorts.

Today’s post is a bit rambly - sort of following the strange paths my mind meanders along… Scary isn’t it?

Hope y’all have a great Monday! Stay tuned for an exciting week as I get ready for my first solo book signing!

  4. Janet! Wooo! I’m so glad you liked Hermano’s story. I tell people he whispered spanish love phrases in my ear until I wrote his story.
Oh, the Treasure… well I think you’ll like Ray’s story too. He’s such a curmudgeon. I had to find a woman worthy to kick his butt and steal his heart.
Yep, too hot here for sure. I was so ready for fall… sigh.
