Yes, dear, there will be two more Malloy books
August 21st, 2006

Can ya give me a hallelujah?! Or perhaps just a WOOT!

Yes, readers, you heard it here first… two more books in the Malloy family series are officially inked on the contract and sent off to the amazing Crissy at Samhain Publishing.

So, you think to yourself, who are the characters? Dammit, whose stories are these? :-?

Well, I’ll tell you. I swear, I’ll stop teasing.

First, there’s Brett’s story… The Tribute

Brett Malloy has always been considered a loner, a man apart from the Malloy clan. Quiet, reserved, and intense, Brett hides from the world on his ranch. When circumstances, and a nasty horse kick, put him flat on his back, Alexandra Hoffman arrives to nurse him back to health.

Alexandra firmly believes a more difficult man couldn’t be found on the face of the Earth. A woman who firmly believes everyone should live life to the fullest, Alex takes Brett’s quiet surliness as a mission. She’s going to teach him what it means to live, and how to find love and passion in the most unexpected places.

Then, there’s Noah’s story (I know many of y’all have been waiting for this one)… The Legacy

Noah Calhoun always felt like an outsider in the Malloy’s family, even though he’d been legally adopted at age fifteen by Nicky, the only sister in the pack. After an accident nearly kills his father, Tyler, Noah decides to leave and find his own place in the world. Using the skills his ex-bounty hunter father taught him, Noah finds a job as a small town sheriff.

Rosalyn Benedict didn’t need a fresh-faced do-gooder sheriff trying to help her. She’d been surviving just fine on her own. Living on the streets since she was a child, Rosalyn was smarter, tougher, and stronger than most people ever hope to be.

Will her stubborness or his pigheadedness, will Noah and Roslyn find that one place where they both belong?

On angel’s wings
August 19th, 2006

Today is a sad day for me and mine…my grandpa died last night. He’s had a rough couple of years and quality of life had deteriorated considerably.

My grandmother always believed in angels. She told me a story once about what happened to her during World War II. My grandfather was stationed in Germany in the US Army - in the Army Corps of Engineers.

Grandma was shopping in town when she felt a hand on her shoulder and someone whispered “Don’t worry, he’s all right.” She turned around and there was no one within twenty feet of her. Later that day she got a telegram saying my grandfather was missing in action.

Had angel visited to give her strength when she needed it? She definitely believed it. Within a few days, her husband was found, although wounded, and came home after recovering sufficiently from his injuries.

When she passed away in 1999, I was devastated. I loved my grandmother dearly. Not long after, my grandfather kind of fell apart, not so unusual after being married over fifty years. I’d like to think he’s with his own angel now, flying on the wings of heaven, safe in her arms.

Borders bound!
August 18th, 2006

For those you in the U.S. (sorry to my pals in other countries), Borders stores are starting to stock The Bounty!! OMG, I’m soooo excited… today I head down at lunch time to SIGN their stock.

*sniff, sniff*

You know I’m going to bring my camera and get all teary-eyed and dorky. I keep checking the Borders store inventory website for my books (you can search by zip code)…

I’ll post a picture later on here so y’all can see!

*feeling like a real author as I dance around the room like a lunatic*

Here’s some useless information…
August 17th, 2006

A bit of useless information about brain freeze. You know the intense pain in your forehead when you eat or drink something too cold way too fast?

So a friend tells me that if you flatten out your tongue and press it to the roof of your mouth, it warms up whatever is causing the pain and voila! It’s gone.

It worked!

I was eating a frozen custard (kind of like really rich ice cream) and there came the brain freeze. Poof! Like magic, my tongue killed the brain freeze.

Hmmm… sorta sounds like a title for a Sci Fi movie.

New website coming soon!

My amazingly talented web designer, Frauke, is hard at work creating a new, sexy, beautiful web design for me. It also includes a new look for my blog. I’m sooooo excited! It will have purple  and nice looking men and toys and gadgets and everything!

Stay tuned, in another week or two, the great unveiling will take place!

Frauke is the best. What would I do without her?
