Sorry y’all, but I had to catch up on my sleep (and my writing) so I’ve been MIA. Other peeps have posted long blogs about RWA, and here I am, doing nuttin. Ah well, forgive me, but real life beckoned and I had to answer the call.
It’s been a whirlwind week for me. I’ve met my best pals, the amazing Sasha White, and the incredible Vivi Anna. I also met so many other writers like Jordan Summers, Cathryn Fox, Sylvia Day, Shelley Bradley, Myla Jackson, Lora Leigh, Delilah Devlin, Lisa Renee Jones, Eden Bradley, Larissa Ione, Stephanie Tyler, Laura Baumbach, Kally Jo Surbeck, Cat Marsters, Amelia Elias and Renee Luke. These are ladies I met, hung out with or had a drink with. There are dozens of others I met or was introduced to like my Samhellion pals. It was great to chat with Crissy Brashear from Samhain Publishing and Allie, Treva, and Doreen from Loose Id - nothing like meeting your publishers!! :)
I also met Bobbie Jo from Romance Junkies and Karen Simpson from Coffee Time again. Love them! And the opportunity to meet Jax from Romance Divas - OMG, she’s so cute!
I pitched to an agent (the sweet Deidre Knight), met the publisher of Berkley Leslie Gelbman, and was totally starstruck by all my favorite authors that I met and got signed books from. :o
Anyhoo, I am finishing The Gift in the next 7 days then I’m moving onto synopses. I owe both my editors at least two each to work out what I’ll be doing the next 6 months. Hopefully that includes the synopsis and three chapters I’m writing to send to Deidre Knight. :D
On the books front, book 4 of the Malloy family series, The Treasure, is #2 on the My Bookstore and More best seller list!! GASP!! OMG, I am like Sally Field “They like me, they really like me!” Such a dork, but SOOOOO excited! Thank you to each and every one of you that bought my book!
It was great meeting you, too, Beth! I think we’re all recovering from conference!
