I have to give props to the Oilers - they were never expected to get to the Stanley Cup. You know, the underdog that surprised everyone. They were a fierce team that made the finals intense.
Props to the CANES too!! OMG - you can’t believe how jazzed folks are in Raleigh. There’s this walkway over the highway with a chainlink fence. Yesterday, somebody had spelled out in white paper cups “GO CANES!”. Today, it says “IT’S OURS!” with a Stanley Cup made out of paper cups!! :D
Anyway, celebration time here in Raleigh. Parade this afternoon, which I can’t go to because my son has his last band concert of the year. I may have to go buy a t-shirt though. ;)
