Gypsy Heart
April 25th, 2006

The first book of Sasha White’s I ever read was Gypsy Heart. I absolutely loved it. Not only really hot, but a wonderfully romantic story. Since then, Sasha and I have become close friends and I love her like a sister. :x

Today, Gypsy Heart was re-released by Samhain Publishing and I cannot recommend it highly enough to y’all. <:-p

Gypsy Heart by Sasha White

ISBN:  1-59998-053-3

Gypsy Heart

Can a man bent on settling down convince a free-spirited woman that doesn’t believe in “happily ever after” to risk her GYPSY HEART?
Reformed bad boy Gage Dougherty wants to settle down.
Free spirited bartender Sable Castle wants to live up to her bad girl image.
When Gage steps into Sable’s bar there’s an instant attraction that has her throwing traditional roles out the window and chasing him down. But when she finally catches him, can he convince her to give up her free-spirited ways and trust him with her GYPSY HEART?

Really, it’s Wife Swap
April 25th, 2006

So my DH gets an e-mail yesterday from a man claiming to be the casting director for the TV show Wife Swap. You know, this is the one where they take a wife from one extreme to the other. Like a social debutante and a farmer’s wife.

The e-mail said they were looking for families like ours to try out for the show. You had to have children over the age of 6. He laughed and said “That’s the weirdest e-mail I ever got.”

I read it and thought, okay Daniel Markell or whatever your name is… Google! So I googled his name and guess what? It seems that this was a legitimate e-mail. :o

The kids are like “wow, cool, I get to be on TV?” Um, NO! You have got to be kidding me? While I think the ratings would probably be enormous, the images of my DH putting up with a woman the opposite of me make my eyes roll back in my head. I’m not desperate enough for fame and money to make myself into an idiot on TV. Nor subject my kids to some woman’s rules. Can you tell I’m a bit protective of them?

Anyhoo, pretty weird, eh? :-?

Ugh, Monday is kicking my ass
April 24th, 2006

I am exhausted. Monday is seriously kicking my ass today. (:| In fact, this week is going to be a bear. I’ve still got to finish a novella that’s due in a week, complete first round of edits on another novella and a novel, and somehow still keep getting ready for RT. @-)

I’ve got three editor appointments (Dorchester, Kensington, Bantam Dell) at RT so I also need to get a proposal together “just in case” I get a chance to pitch it. Hilary Sares is the Kensington editor and I really, really, really want to impress her. :-ss

Can I clone myself? Sigh… I’m going to “try” to be good about blogging and posting, but I may need to simply pull up the shell and get mondo busy. (There’s an 80s term for ya, ha!).

Anyhoo, thanks to everyone that popped by my author day on ebooklove yesterday. I had a blast. Look for me later this week at FAR Chatters 4/29 at 9 pm for a live chat.

Off to Find COFFEE. ~o)

Cool Tarot cards - I am the Sun!
April 22nd, 2006

Stole this from Sasha.

I am the Sun! Cool!

Which Tarot Card Are You?

You are the Sun card. The light of the Sun reveals all. The Sun is joyful and bright, without fear or reservation. The childish nature of the Sun allows you to play and feel free. Exploration can truly take place in the light of day when nothing is hidden. The Sun’s rays fill you with energy so that you may live life to its fullest, milking pleasure out of each day. Such joy and energy can bring wealth and physical pleasure. To shine in the light of day is to have confidence, to soak up its rays is to feel the freedom of a child.
