Today I’m going to use my game face
February 12th, 2006

It’s been in the closet for a few weeks, but I’ve still got it ready to work. :grin2_ee:
I have 2 1/2 weeks to finish my first novella in The Perfect Score bowling series. I’ve got about 7K written, and which is about 30% if you figure between 20-25K.
I also completely screwed up my diet yesterday, which had been going nicely. Pizza for lunch, cake after dinner. Not exactly on my plan, but alas, it was a day of running around and being super-mom so I was weak. :help_tb:
Anyhoo, today will be a day to buckle down on my writing, do laundry, and not go anywhere. Yep, I’m staying right here at home. Luckily, we’re out of the storm front that only dumped cold rain on us. Good thoughts to those of you in the Northeast in the path of it as a blizzard. Stay safe!! :sad_tb:

What does it mean?
February 9th, 2006

I had a dream last night that scared the shit out of me. :glurps_tb: It is so vivid in my mind that it plays like a movie. Here goes…
I was living in a townhouse type building where the homes were connected. I opened the door to let the cat out (don’t have a cat b/c me and #2 are allergic) and walked outside into the night air in my socks. I walked across the grass, had some kind of paper in my hand, and the cat (he was black and white) was busily sniffing the ground.
The screen door to the townhouse beside mine slammed open and a man in a gray hooded sweatshirt ran out like his ass was on fire and knocked me down, disappearing into the dark. I landed on the grass, still holding the paper in my hand.
I looked over at my neighbor’s house and could see the TV on through the screen door. The porch railings were white and the door wasn’t completely closed.
From my left, I saw the man running back toward me and before I could move he had bent down to grab me by the shoulders. His face was blurry beneath the hood, but my instincts told me he was evil. I didn’t fight back, I was too scared to even think about it. :shuteye_ee:
That’s when I woke up screaming. Apparently I don’t do a high-pitched thing, it’s more of a low pitch whine. Lord, I was terrified. Whatever that man was going to do to me as I lay on the ground was not going to be good.
So what does it mean? Any dream interpreters out there? :help_tb:

Tarot cards
February 8th, 2006

I’ve always been fascinated by Tarot Cards, but have never used them. I’ve been thinking about learning how to use them so I can have a heroine use them in a book. I found this quiz on Blogthings.

You Are Strength

You represent both fiery energy and steadfast will. You are innocent and naive - yet unafraid and undaunted. Perhaps you don’t have the most powerful physical strength… But your mental powers make up for any amount of muscle.

Your fortune:

Lately, you have been a pillar of ethics and moral strength. And while things may be difficult, your faith in yourself will come through. You may need to conquer the animalistic nature of yourself or others, with gentle force. Although this may seem like the darkest hour for you, victory is near.

The weird thing is, this is pretty much spot on. Creepy, eh? I used my real first name (instead of my middle) and it was completely different and way off base… :huh_tb:

My First “O”
February 6th, 2006

Hey, y’all, I’m so excited to announce my first “O” rating from JERR! Vixen Virgins was reviewed in issue #68 and it received 4/5 Stars and an O heat level (as in O — Orgasmic arousal level. Our reviewer found the ultimate satisfaction with this book.) :clap_tb:

The book was reviewed by Aggie Tsirikas. Thanks Aggie!!!

The Outlaw’s Virgin has humor, spice, an appealing plot, interesting dialog and enough zing between Maggie and Brit that you’d better take precautions for your e-reader before it catches fire. Brit is simply scrumptious, and I enjoyed his stamina and determination to corral Maggie once he realized his feelings for her. I thoroughly recommend this story for anyone wanting a pleasure filled read set in the west with two appealing and sexy characters.

Oh, yeah, baby, I’m dancing on air today. Singing “Oh, oh, oh, yup that’s me. Oh, Oh, Oh…” :jittery_tb:
