For all you men out there that may be reading this, you may want to find something else to read today.
I discovered a lump two months ago with my regular GP. She sent me for a diagnostic mammogram/ultrasound which came back negative, meaning no lumps or masses.
So I’m imagining things? :unsure_tb: I waited another month, checking to see what I found. Still tender, still lumpish. Sigh… so I went to a breast surgeon yesterday and she confirmed the lump diagnosis. It’s the size of a small pea. She took cells with a needle (ouchity ouch) and I am now scheduled for a lumpectomy next week. Surgery. Knife. :sad_tb:
Y’all I was okay until I talked to my Mom, then I bawled like a baby. No, there is no history of cancer, just fibrocystic disease (fibrous lumps). But the possibility that it may be something else is terrifying.
Okay, I’m sure it will be fine. I’ll keep y’all updated. In the mean time, forgive me if I forget shit or call you by the wrong name.
In the true tradition of carpe diem, I’m seizing the day to say thanks for reading my blog. To all my online peeps - love ya, dolls.

Carpe Diem is the only way to go to stay positive. I’m
by Robyn December 29th, 2005 at 5:38 pmrooting for you- been there, done that with the lumpectomy and all was okay. I also have the fibrous breast tissue and no fun(fibrocystic breast disease).
We have cancer in our family so I’m always somewhat uptight. Keep looking up.
Take care, Beth.

“I have cleared my schedule for next Wednesday. Assuming you want me there, just let me know the time.
Just know I am thinking about you and sending you happy, healing thoughts”
Hey Sweetie,
by Janice Perrodin December 31st, 2005 at 6:22 amMy mammogram came back clear this time but I had the needle biopsy done in 1992 and “ouchie” is right! :yell_tb: Then half of my tit turned a lovely blue-green, so that was very attractive. :ohh_ee: I cut back on my caffeine intake and haven’t had any problems lately. :smile2_tb: Goodluck with your biopsy and if you need anything just “holler” as you have my e-mail. :help_tb: Thinking positive thoughts for Beth.
