Slept late, feel great
November 12th, 2005

So, number 1 (the mammogram) has worked out - although I’m mightily pissed at my doctor who still has not called me. I called the radiologist and the nice lady took pity on me and told me there were no abnormal masses or cysts - normal read. Whew. :happy_tb:
Number 2 (the well) has also worked out, at least for now and hopefully permanently. They changed out the motor in the well and now we have more pressure. Yay! :tongue1_tb:
Number 3? Hmmm… Sasha seems to think my rejections (by NY pubs) were number 1 actually so that moves everything around… LOL!
DH got up and went to work by 7 and I went back to sleep and slept until 8:45! Man that felt goooooood. So now I’m drinking my coffee, checking my e-mail, and blogging.
It’s gonna be a good day! :smile2_ee:

Hopefully Number 3 Is Gone Already
November 11th, 2005

Bad things come in threes right? I hope not… I’ve had two things I consider “bad” this week and I’m afraid that number three is still hanging around.
Number one was actually on my birthday. I had a mammogram (ouch, double ouch, triple ouch, and so son) and an ultrasound because of a lump about the size of a small grape. No news yet and the wait is about killing me. :glurps_tb:
Number two happened last night. The well just decided to quit so we don’t have any water. Not sure if it’s run dry since we had water without a problem before the problem. Or the pump itself could have blown. I don’t know but it’s a big number two (yes, pun intended).
I’ve got to wait a bit to call my builder (4 days, count ‘em, 4 days before my 1 year anniversary on the house so it’s still his problem - whew!), and hopefully contact the well company that put it in. I came to work at 6:15 this morning to take a shower in the fitness center (at least I have that!).
My kids don’t have school day because it’s Veteran’s Day so they’re home without water. As soon as I can, I’m going to call my next door neighbor to take the 9 YO. The teenager can wait in case someone comes to look at the well before I can get there. Why aren’t I there? I have a class to take this morning from 8:30 to 12 that my boss really wants me to take. :longface_ee:
After all this, I’m hoping number three takes pity on us and goes away. Or better yet, I can count the two rejections I received last week as number one, then we’re square and no more bad things will happen.
Wish me luck! :unsure_tb:

This is so cool!
November 10th, 2005

One of my favorite authors is Leigh Greenwood. He writes series Western romances that I love. I’ve read them all. I’ve even e-mailed with him and he encouraged me to keep submitting and now I’m a published author too.
So, I was checking the Romance Junkies site since Chrissy, the reviewer for The Reward, told me the review was up. (BTW - Happy belated Birthday to Chrissy on Nov. 8!).
This is so cool!!! Leigh’s book, The Mavericks (which I can’t wait to read), is on the same review page as The Reward. Nearly next to each other!
How cool is that? Sort of like sharing a table at a restaurant with Stephen King (now THAT would be really cool too!). :smile2_ee:
It makes me feel like a “real” writer - although I’m not famous, certainly not a best seller, and am a legend in my own mind.
Anyhoo - had a good birthday. Wrote nothing! But it was good - pizza and ice cream cake and my boys and DH. :cheese1_ee:

It’s my birthday!
November 9th, 2005

So I’m going to be in a happy mood.
Light my candles, baby!
Muse Urania (Annalee Blysse) posted this cool link to Paul Sadowski’s website. Fun, fun, fun! This is what it says about me…

You are 456 months old.
You are 1,983 weeks old.
You are 13,880 days old.
You are 333,128 hours old.
You are 19,987,693 minutes old.
You are 1,199,261,580 seconds old.

Your birth tree is Walnut Tree, the Passion
Unrelenting, strange and full of contrasts, often egoistic, aggressive, noble, broad horizon, unexpected reactions, spontaneous, unlimited ambition, no flexibility, difficult and uncommon partner, not always liked but often admired, ingenious strategist, very jealous and passionate, no compromises. (this is not all true, I swear!!)

I am a Life Path 7 person…
“A Life Path 7 person is a peaceful and affectionate soul, and by nature rather reserved and analytical. The overwhelming strength of the number 7 is reflected in the depth of thinking that is shown; you will garner knowledge from practically every source that you find. Intellectual, scientific and studious, you don’t accept a premise until you have dissected the subject and arrived at you own independent conclusion. This is a very spiritual number and it often denotes a sort of spiritual wisdom that becomes apparent at a fairly early age. You need a good deal of quiet time to be with your own inner thoughts and dreams. You dislike crowds, noise and confusion. You are very thorough and complete in your work, the perfectionist who expects everyone else to be a meet a high standard of performance, too. You evaluate situations very quickly and with amazing accuracy. You rely heavily on your experiences and your intuition, rather than accepting advice from someone; your hunches usually prove to be very accurate, and knowing this, you are one who tends to follow the directions they seem to guide. It’s easy for you to detect deception and recognize insincere people. You aren’t one to have a wide circle of friends, but once you accept someone as a friend, it’s for life. ”

That path 7 stuff is eerily accurate… really accurate…

Anyhoo to celebrate my birthday, I’m going to be giving away a goodie on my CowboyLovers group today. A DVD of The Quick and the Dead with that incredible cowboy, Sam Elliot. Doesn’t his voice make you want to melt into a puddle?Mmmmmm…

If you’re not a member of CowboyLovers, you can join today and celebrate with me.
