Going for two days
August 19th, 2005

I am going to Charleston for two days, leaving today after work. I’m going to meet my mom there - she’s a world class bowler and is competing in a tournament there so I’m along for the ride (so to speak). It’s about 280 miles from me and I’ll be driving it alone. That’s actually when I get the most plotting done in my books and brainstorm stuff.

Perhaps I’ll be brainstorming about my Muse stories. Didn’t I mention it? There will be Muse anthologies coming out in 2006 - probably in late spring. I am writing two of them - my own muse, Clio, and one for Polyhymnia. Clio will be a contemp and Poly an historical.

I also need to brainstorm about my anthology with Cece Stuart called Spirits of Santa Fe - a timetravel western.

So many WIPs to ponder…

Anyway, I will be online a couple of times a day (morning/evening) to check e-mail and such, but I expect there will be way more than I can get through. Y’all are a prolific lot (especially the Muses).

Hope everyone has a good weekend… I am in shock that it’s Friday already. Where the heck did the week go? For that matter, where the heck did August go?

  1. I’ll be hermit-girl while you’re away. SO many WIP to write. LOL

Enjoy the time away from the boys!

  2. Have a great time in Charleston! And don’t overwork those muses.

  3. I know you’ll get a lot “banged” out Sasha

Oh, no kids and no DH… the possibilities. I’ve only been in town two hours and I already bought a new cowboy hat and a cowgirl shirt.

Thanks Silma! The muses were quiet today… I was pondering publishing and submitting….

  4. I’ve never understood bowling…
Oh and speaking of cowgirl shirts, I’ve got one I think you’d love Beth. It’s a t-shirt, Navy blue with this like parchment kind of wanted poster sort of graphic for the text. It’s not actually a wanted poster but it looks like that kind of paper and it says “You’ve been a Naughty Cowboy, Now Go to My Room” lol. I bought it at the stockyard in Fort Worth. Loved that place too, so many men, so many pairs of tight jeans and not enough film…
