Half the week is gone and I haven’t written nearly as much as I want to. Of course, it would help if I didn’t IM so much with Sasha .
I can’t help it, we love to chat.
What’s really taking up some time is a new group of writers that I joined called Behind the Muses. I’m the official webmistress of the group so I’m building the website. It’s not a chore, it’s fun (yes, yes, geek alert) however it is eating my free time. The next two weeks we are working like mad to get everything ready for our grand kick-off September 1. Look for us to take the publishing world by storm. ![]()
After that, I am buckling down and getting The Treasure done. My self-imposed deadline (gulp) is September 30 to have my book ready to submit for publication. I’ve got about 9K written, so figure I’m 12% done
. Yowza, I better get busy!

I’m not sure how I feel about that… Okay, I do set goals because if I don’t, I’ll never finish anything!!
by Beth August 17th, 2005 at 7:35 pmI don’t think you’re a geek for loving to build webpages. I spent about two years addicted to it. I thought it was a blast, typing code and seeing the picture of what you would type in your head rather than seeing the odd collection of words in front of you. Fiddling with the graphic over and over until it’s just right, the same way you do with a rough draft in writing. To me a website is a lot like a book. Building a page is a similar feeling to writing. I just haven’t had the ambition to do that lately…. Soon I plan to make a page. It’s on my list of to do. If I’d only remembered where I put the last one before they sent me an expired noticed I’d be a lot happier right now. That thing took forever and I still wasn’t finished when I misplaced all the info I needed to do anything with it. Gotta learn to be less flighty here.
